Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first in its first match of the mega event. Openers Hafeez and Shahzad could not provide good start but then back-to-back fifties by Kamran, Younis, Misbah and Akmal made it possible for Green Shirts to compile a huge total of 317 runs against poor Kenya.
